These wonderful throws are woven from from naturally coloured British fleece wool. They therefore contain absolutely no dyestuff, but derive their subtle beauty from the natural colours of the Jacob, Welsh Black and Shetland Moorit sheep from which the wool comes. These throws are finished using natural soap (rather than synthetic detergent.)


So there is no chemical residue in the cloth, which means 100% natural British sustainable woollen cloth with minimal environmental impact.

With most weaving each thread goes either over or under every other thread. But in leno weaving, pairs of warp threads are twisted round each weft thread.

This gives great stability, and forms small pockets, rather like in a string vest, which trap air to give great warmth at minimal weight. These throws are not just 100% Natural… They’re magic too!
